In 2015 GM opened the doors to the European Customer Care Centre. Based at Chalton House, FPM were fortunate to be appointed as the main contractor to undertake the refurbishment.
Fast forward four years and Chalton House has once again been refurbished to accommodate the new Luton Head Office. And for the second time, following the tender process, we were privileged to have been selected as the main contractor to carry out the works.
Seamlessly merging the Sales, Marketing, Communications and Finance Departments with the existing Customer Engagement Centre was no mean feat and involved extensive fit out works and alterations to the existing offices and meeting rooms to create the desired space.
Following the installation of a new heating, venting and air conditioning system, the electrics were re-routed, and new suspended ceilings and partitioning erected to create the meeting rooms and open plan office space to house the employees.
Keen to acknowledge the impact that the former Head Office had played in the industry’s past, the interior was designed to celebrate the history of Vauxhall.
To complete the look, the reception was also refurbished and now boasts new flooring, décor and light fittings.
Functional yet at the same time reflective of Vauxhall’s core values, Chalton House is the proud home to around 470 staff.
